I am Carol, the designer and creator here at Carol Hladik Designs.

I have always had a love for everything crafty. I find creating to be an outlet and a way to relax and escape the pressures that life throws at me.

​

My mom taught me to crochet at a young age. My first baby blanket was a very lopsided granny square with tassels on the corners.  I kept that blanket for over 20 years because I worked so hard on it and couldn't bear to get rid of it!

​

I  wrote my very first pattern in February of 2016. It was a pair of Panda Bear Boot Cuffs for my daughter who had an obsession with everything panda! In December of 2016 my best friend asked me to make her a sweater. I was very nervous, but set my mind to it and the Brandi Cardigan was created. It was this pattern  that gave me the push I needed to dive into the world of pattern design and I am so thankful for all of the support and encouragement I have had along the way!

This is the next big step in my journey, starting a website and a blog! Thank you for joining me, I look forward to seeing where this journey goes from here!
