Keep your ears warm and cheer on your favorite team with the Team Spirit Striped Headband.

This headband is a great accessory for guys and girls alike. Not a sports fan? No problem. Make the striped headband in your favorite colors or match your coat and jacket.

Supplies:

Small amount of Worsted (4) Weight yarn in desired colors

* I used Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Red, Yellow, and White

Size I 5.5mm crochet hook

Scissors

Needle for weaving in ends

Terms: CH: Chain

SC: Single Crochet

FPSC: Front Post SC

HDC: Half Double Crochet

SLST: Slip Stitch

F/O: Finish Off

Chain spaces at end of rows do not count in the final stitch count.

Changing colors: Insert hook into the stitch, pull up a loop of the new color, pull new color through the loop on the hook to complete SLST, ch1 and continue with new color.

Child Size:

Round 1: Foundation SC 55, SLST into first stitch making sure not to twist your stitches, ch1. (55) (Foundation chain should measure 17”)

Round 2: SC around, SLST, change to White, ch1 (55)

Round 3: SC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (55)

Round 4: SC around, SLST, change to Yellow, ch1 (55)

Round 5: HDC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (55)

Round 6: SC around, SLST, change to Yellow, ch1 (55)

Round 7: HDC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (55)

Round 8: SC around, SLST, change to White, ch1 (55)

Round 9: SC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (55)

Round 10: SC around, SLST, ch1 (55)

Round 11: SC around, SLST, ch1 (55)

Round 12: FPSC around, SLST, F/O. (55)

Reattach Red yarn into the bottom of the headband at the foundation, FPSC around, SLST, F/O. (55)

Adult Size:

Round 1: Foundation SC 60, SLST into first stitch making sure not to twist your stitches, ch1. (60) (Foundation chain should measure 19”)

Round 2: SC around, SLST, ch1, (60)

Round 3: SC around, SLST, change to White, ch1 (60)

Round 4: SC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (60)

Round 5: SC around, SLST, change to Yellow, ch1 (60)

Round 6: HDC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (60)

Round 7: SC around, SLST, change to Yellow, ch1 (60)

Round 8: HDC around, SLST, change to Red, ch1 (60)
