Happy New Year! I thought we should start out with a Free pattern. This pattern works up quickly and is a great pattern for beginners as well.

This Fur Lined Headband crochet pattern is so thick and cozy warm you will want to wear it all Winter long! Winter is my least favorite season. I hate to be cold, and the wind is terrible in Kansas. It makes the cold go right through to your bones.

What better way to beat the Winter blues than to wrap yourself in a faux fur hug?

I am including the Toddler size instructions with this post, but you can find the complete pattern with toddler, child, and adult sizes in my Etsy and Ravelry shops. Simply click the link below and it will take you right to the page to purchase.

Assembly:

Turn colored piece right side down. (The right side has the ridges.)

Place fur on top of the colored piece and attach two pieces together with a needle and a strand of bulky yarn using a mattress stitch. Do not stitch tightly, as this will make the headband too small. The fur will be longer than the colored piece. Stretch the colored piece as you attach to make it the same length as the fur.

Fold in half and stitch ends of fur and ends of colored piece together to form a circle.

Cinch front of the headband with a strand of bulky yarn and a needle.

Row 2: SC across, ch1, turn. (3)

Attach to front of headband, covering the seam.
