PUMPKINS ON REPEAT! Another Free Pumpkin Crochet Pattern

If you follow me on Facebook you know that I promised to have two pumpkin patterns released on my blog this week. Yesterday I released the Bulky Ribbed Pumpkin Crochet Pattern, and today I am happy to share the Bulky Bobble Pumpkin Crochet Pattern.
I love the texture of this pumpkin pattern! There is something about bobbles that just make me happy. Do you have certain stitches that you love?
If you have never made a bobble stitch, don't fret! It isn't as complicated as it seems. For this pattern you will follow the instructions below for the bobble stitches.
Bobble Stitch: Yarn over, insert hook into first available stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, 3 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop, 4 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, insert into same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, 5 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, insert into same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, 6 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, pull through all 5 loops on the hook, ch1 to close the stitch.
Bulky Bobble Pumpkin Crochet Pattern
Supplies:
10.0mm N hook
Pumpkin: 1 skein Lion Brand Hometown or Thick and Quick, Super Bulky 6 weight yarn 81 yards
7” diameter x 4” height without stem, 6” height with stem
Stem: Small amount of Loops & Threads Charisma in Espresso
Large needle for weaving in ends
Fiber-fil stuffing
Nylon Knee High* Optional
Terms:
Ch: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
DC: Double Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
BO: Bobble Stitch
FPDC: Front Post Double Crochet
SL ST: Slip stitch
F/O: Finish off
Round 1: Beginning with a Magic Circle, ch1, SC 10, pull ring tight, SL ST into first stitch, ch1 (10)
Round 2: 2 SC in each stitch around, SL ST, ch1 (20)
Round 3: *HDC, 2HDC* Repeat pattern from * to * around, SL ST, ch2 (30)
Round 4: *BO, DC*, repeat pattern from * to * 14 more times, SL ST, ch1 (30)
Round 5: SC around, SL ST, ch2 (30)
Round 6: *BO, FPDC around DC*, repeat pattern from * to * 14 more times, SL ST, ch1 (30) (You will be skipping the SC Row, and working the FPDC around the DC of previous Row.)

Rounds 7 – 10: Repeat Rows 5 & 6
Row 11: SC around, SL ST, ch1 (30)
Round 12: SC2TOG around, SL ST, ch1 (15)
Stuff pumpkin. Too keep stuffing from coming through, put stuffing into a nylon knee-high before inserting into Pumpkin. (The FPDC’s will be on the outside of the pumpkin. If needed, push the bobbles out before stuffing.)

Round 13: SC2TOG 7 times, SC, SL ST, ch1 (8)
Round 14: SC2TOG 4 times, SL ST. F/O Leaving a long tail. (4)
With a large needle, push tail through the center of the pumpkin to the bottom side. Loop yarn around row 1, and pull back through to the top of the pumpkin, pull to indent center. Repeat. Finish off, and weave in ends.
Stem:
Row 1: Chain 6, SC in 2nd chain and across, ch1, turn. (5)
Row 2: SCBLO across, ch1, turn. (5)
Rows 3 – 5 Repeat Row 2
h off leaving a long tail. Whip stitch Row 1 to Row 5 to create the stem. Secure to the top of the pumpkin.

Stem:
Row 1: Chain 6, SC in 2nd chain and across, ch1, turn. (5)
Row 2: SCBLO across, ch1, turn. (5)
Rows 3 – 5 Repeat Row 2
Finish off leaving a long tail. Whip stitch Row 1 to Row 5 to create the stem. Secure to the top of the pumpkin.
